The National Joint Council for local government services has confirmed that agreement has been reached on rates of pay applicable from 1st April 2024 for support staff in schools and colleges.
The Agreement covers the period 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025 with employers encouraged to implement the award as swiftly as possible.
The new pay rates represent an increase of £1,290 per annum per spine point, up to SCP 43.
All locally determined pay points above the maximum of the pay spine, but graded below deputy chief officer, should be increased by 2.50 per cent.
It is recommended that back pay also be paid to ex-employees who have left since 1st April, if requested to do so.
